Baxendale Spins Out Bohemians

Dartington and Totnes routed winless Yelverton for the second time this season when they eased to a 7 wicket win at Langton Park.

Yelverton skipper Ben Grove won the toss and elected to bat first. However, this decision turned out to be a poor one as his side were bowled out for 80 in the 32ndover. Opposite number Harry Baxendale was the chief destroyer taking 5-14, but was backed up by Jono Colegate who took 3-19 and Nick Dennis and Phil Snyman who took a wicket each. Geoff Brian top scored with 24 and Grove had the only other double figure score with 11.

Despite slipping to 15-2 and 34-3, D&T were able to cruise to their target with Snyman finishing up 51 not out and Baxendale unbeaten on 17. Steve Colmer took two of the three wickets to fall with the other falling to Daniel Cooper.

D&T remain top of the C Division West and will hope to carry on their unbeaten season at home to Shaldon Optimists on Saturday.
