The Sunday team folded after Darren decided it was untenable to skipper the side and live in Plymouth. We suggested he could camp out under the spanking new covers but he was not impressed.
The Club continues to struggle due to a short supply of people who are willing and available to captain sides. Similarly we have a few people doing too much with the Club overly reliant on them. Partly as a result of this and partly due to a lack of availability of players we have been forced to withdraw the third XI from the League. This is a real shame as it denies opportunities for young players to get a start in adult cricket and means several keen players are unable to get a regular game.
This is a major issue for the Club and threatens it’s long term future. Any ideas/solutions gratefully received.
